What is this blog?

My name is Simon Oh, and I'm a finance professor at Columbia Business School.

Price and Prejudice is meant to be a weekly set of musings on markets, investing, and the stories we tell to make sense of both. It began as a continuation of my Capital Markets & Investments course at Columbia Business School. Some students asked to keep receiving the Saturday article roundups, so here it is.

Of course, nothing here is directly investable, but some of it you may find useful. Like you, I’m in the process of making sense of this turbulent world, and writing seems to help. If these notes help you think a little differently, or just notice something you hadn’t before, then they’ve done their job.
